Our May CSR Meeting was held 2023-05-09.  The meeting was a hybrid meeting, with one member joining via Zoom.  There were fifteen people present.

Central Office finances: for March 21 through April 20, Central Office had income of $4,704.21 and expenses of $1,910.91 for a gain of $2,793.30.

Old business:

1. Golf Tournament was canceled, but four carts of us went golfing on April 23 anyway, and had a great time.

2. Founders Day Picnic June 10th, 2023
    George and Cheryl are chairpersons.
    We have a speaker, Anita B. from Lemoore.
    We have a flyer: please get the flyer to your groups.
    We do have a big barbecue grill coming. We need people who are interested in cooking.
    We need people to bring salads. If a group wants to bring beans, that would be great.

3. Central Office Literature price increases
    Right now, our decision is to hold prices where they are.  AA World Services raised prices, but we bought a lot before the price increase kicked in.

4. Saint Paul's Church is reserved for New Year's Eve party
    Cheryl spoke to Bill H and he really would like Central Office to spearhead this event.
    They have reserved the church.
    Do our CSRs think your group will support a New Year’s Eve event at St. Paul’s Church in Visalia?  Does the group have ideas for what the party could be?

New Business:

1. ERC (Employee Retention Credit) money
    I want to throw it out to the CSRs to be thinking about: what do we want to do with the ERC money?
    There is no rush to spend it, so we can take our time before making other decisions.
    
Announcements:

    Please remind our membership that Central Office will be open the last Saturday of the month.

    Springville Speaker Breakfast meeting is this Sunday.
    
    Keep It Simple Sunday in Blain Park (Visalia) now meets at 9:00 AM instead of 10.  Will until October or November.

Old business:

Pay raise for our Office Manager was passed, commencing April 1st, 2023.  Carol Ann's pay will be raised an even $2 per hour.

Golf Tournament needs more sign-ups.

New Year's activity: next month, we will ask the CSRs to ask their groups who wants to be on the NYE event committee.

New business:

Office manager vacation: Carol Ann will be out May 15th to May 26th 2023.  Claudia will fill in for Carol Ann.

Central Office hours on Saturdays: The proposal is to open Central Office one Saturday a month (not every Saturday), same hours, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  Decision was to open the last Saturday of the month, beginning April 29.  The motion passed, with the provision that we will try it, but if no-one comes in on Saturdays, after a few months, we will stop.
