Many members of District 47 will be going to Canada to attend the International Convention of Alcoholics Anonymous. Last month, we decided to bump the District 47 meeting to the third Tuesday (from the first Tuesday).

We hope you will join us for our Founders’ Day Picnic at Mooney Grove Park in Visalia this Saturday, June 14th. There has been a slight adjustment: a tree fell and clobbered a portion of Arbor 9.

We’re moving to Arbors 4, 5, 6, and 8. So instead of heading to the back of the park (east), hang a right and head south.

On this day, 90 years ago, Alcoholics Anonymous was founded by our first two members: Bill Wilson and Doctor Bob Smith.

The planning meeting for the Founders’ Day Picnic is Monday at 5:30 PM, June 9th. Our Founders’ Day Picnic will be Saturday, June 14th.

Every quarter, the NorCal Hospitals and Institution Ninth Step Committee publishes their one-page update titled Newsbrief. At a single page for English and Spanish, it lives up to its name. ;-) It is the fourth document down on the Hospitals and Institutions page.

The Keep It Simple Sunday (K.I.S.S.) meeting in Visalia is an outdoor meeting: we move the time twice a year to warmer or cooler times. Beginning March 9th, we will meet at 9 AM instead of 10 AM. Please tell your friends.

It’s that time of year again, where we prepare to let A.A. World Services in New York know what we members would like them to consider. But before we send our Delegate to New York, we need to figure out what we want. Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 11 AM to 3 PM at the Porterville Twelve Step Recovery Club we have our Area 7 Delegate Matt L. and Area 7 Chair members coming to host the workshop. There will be food, too.

The workshop will be hybrid and members can also join Zoom.
