Planning Meeting for New Year’s Eve event this Tuesday at 5 PM (Zoom and in-person)

Probably our last planning meeting before New Year’s Eve, the planning committee and anyone who wants to volunteer are invited to our 2024 New Year’s Eve Event Planning Committee Meeting at 5 PM on Zoom Tuesday December 17, 2024.

One-click Zoom

We’ll set up the Zoom equipment at Central Office, but the meeting will mostly be on Zoom so that people don’t have to travel all the way to Central Office for just the one hour.

If you have pre-sale tickets you have sold, please either attend the meeting, or before the meeting let Carol Ann know how many you have sold.

Meeting list change – new option: proof of attendance verification

Does your meeting provide attendance verification? Do you want people to know that?

If the answer to both these questions is yes, we have good news. Because of a recent software upgrade, there is now an option in the Meetings List to show that proof of meeting attendance is available.

At the moment, it only shows on the website meetings page:

But it will show up in the Meeting Guide app later.

If you want your meeting to have the Proof of Attendance flag set, please contact Carol Ann at Central Office at tccof@hotmail.com , or, find your meeting on this website and click the “Request a change to this listing” button.

Two new pages added to the website: H&I and BTG

Are you looking to help your own sobriety and make a meaningful difference in your community? Unleash the power of sobriety through volunteering!

By dedicating your time and energy to helping others, you can find purpose, build connections, and foster personal growth. We have opportunities available ;-)

Hospitals and Institutions (H&I) is a Ninth Tradition service committee which carries the message of A.A. to the alcoholic in Corrections and Treatment facilities in California. This new page has links to the NorCal H&I website, flyers for programs, and the current financial report. It also has the information on where to send money collected via the Pink Can.

Bridging The Gap (BTG) is a Ninth Tradition service committee which provides temporary contact with someone coming out of treatment or incarceration. Your role is to meet them at their first meeting and introduce them to the members there. To facilitate this, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office will set up a Zoom meeting, so you can meet the person before they are released. This new web page has the application form for TCSO.

Both pages have meeting times and dates for their committees. Both pages have been added to the main menu of our website.

Embrace the transformative journey of recovery and service – start volunteering today for a brighter, sober future. :-)
